Sacramento, CA – One Nation PAC, a conservative political action committee, has announced its endorsement of Ray McKinney for Congress in Georgia’s 12th Congressional District.

“Ray McKinney is the ideal conservative candidate,” said Kelly S. McKinney was a candidate for the 12th Congressional District in 2008, but came in second in the Republican primary against an establishment candidate who was heavily-funded. Knowing his calling was to fight against out-of-control spending in Washington and bring the Republican Party back to its conservative roots, Ray became an activist and was once against called upon to run for Congress earlier this year.

The district was previously represented by Democratic Congressman Neil Abercrombie who retired to run for Governor of Hawaii.

To hit it off, we’ve been increasing our contributions to Marco Rubio, Scott Brown, Charles Djou, and numerous other conservative Republican candidates.

In order to reach multi-candidate status, a PAC must have contributed to at least five candidates, had over fifty0ne contributors to the committee, and be around for six months.  We filed our notice to the FEC on the exact day that we hit six months, which was April 13th.

Former Rep. David O’Brien Martin, a St. Lawrence County native who preceded Rep. John McHugh as Congressman for most of what is now the 23rd Congressional District, endorsed Dede Scozzafava Monday.

Mr. Martin represented the old 30th Congressional District from 1981 to 1983, and the old 26th Congressional District from 1983 to 1993.

“As the old saying goes, all politics is local, and the candidate with the most experience and understanding of issues important to the district is the candidate best suited to represent this area in Congress,” said the former congressman in a statement. “After serving in Congress for more than a decade, I know that your number one priority must be your district and your constituency, not the talking heads circuit on cable television. Having the endorsement of big names from Washington is fine, but if you can’t articulate the most basic needs of the constituents of the 23rd District, you have no business running for this congressional seat.”

“From the three candidates in this race, the only one with a record of getting things done for her community is Dede Scozzafava. I can say with certainty that Dede has a better understanding of this district than either of her opponents. Dede is unequivocally the most qualified candidate in this race and I endorse her wholeheartedly.

“It is also important to note that Republican Leader Boehner has pledged to secure Dede a seat on the House Armed Services Committee. From that important vantage point she will be able to look after the needs of Fort Drum and our soldiers. That is very important to the 10th Mountain Division, our national security and, of course, to the economy of the north country.” he concluded.

One Nation PAC endorses Doug Hoffman for Congress

One Nation PAC, a conservative political action committee, has endorsed conservative Republican Doug Hoffman for Congress in New York’s 23rd Congressional District Special Election on November 3rd, 2009.

Doug Hoffman, a registered Republican who is running the Conservative Party line, is seeking to fill the vacant seat left by Congressman John McHugh. McHugh, a Republican, was appointed Secretary of the Army by President Barack Obama. Hoffman is being opposed by liberal Republican Dede Scozzafava and Democrat Bill Owens in this heated race.

Currently, Republicans hold only three congressional seats out of twenty-nine in New York. Losing the 23rd Congressional District would bring that number down to two and thus conservative Republicans in Congress will further lose influence against controversial legislation, such as the proposed health care bill and further bailouts.

“Winning this seat will be the beginnings of the conservative comeback in Congress, With just one year to go until the November 2010 congressional elections, a victory will show that conservative values and strong leadership matter to the American people,” said Kelly S. New Yorkers have been appalled by the Republican establishment’s choice of Scozzafava as candidate.

Kelly Eustis, formerly of Argyle, announced Monday he has filed paperwork with the Federal Election Commission to form a new national political action committee called One Nation.

Eustis said he resigned last week as political director of the Our Country Deserves Better PAC because of “creative and personal differences.”

The new organization will support conservative-minded candidates — Republican or Democratic, he said.

Eustis, who now lives in California, is executive director of the new organization.

He said he is working with several other individuals from New York, Texas and California to organize it.
